Open the office and restart the theater

Chapter 1 turns a visit to Dalton's Dinos into a chain of repairs, climbing routes, and increasingly urgent escapes. This Terrible Lizards chapter 1 walkthrough follows the main puzzle sequence from the entrance to the caves. Knowing which part of the power system you have actually completed is especially useful when the gift shop lights become your next objective.

The route below uses the full-release player experience narrated by SuperHorrorBro, supported by FusionZGamer's full-game recording. For the game itself, use the official Terrible Lizards Steam listing.

Use the payphone outside, then enter the attraction. The office code is split between two pieces of paper in the opening hall. Collect both halves and read the completed note. In SuperHorrorBro's recorded run, the note gives 6024, and that entry opens the office. Use the number on your own completed note; this example does not establish that every build or run uses the same opening code.

Take the theater token from the office and use it at the theater entrance. When the pre-show stops, go through the staff door marked No Entry. Follow the climbing route backstage to the fuse, insert it into the fusebox, and complete the timed repair. On PC, the tutorial calls for Space at the right moment.

Activate the presentation control after the repair. Return to the theater and let the restarted show finish so you can proceed into the exhibits.

Restore the exhibits and collect Stella's headset

The exhibit route leads to a gate that needs three switches. Explore the elevated paths around the dinosaur displays and activate all three switches, then return to the office/control room for the master lever. Completing only the individual switches leaves that final office action outstanding.

Answer the telephone when Stella calls. She asks Jordan to find Dalton and directs you toward the management office near the gift shop. Pick up the headset behind you before continuing; the first conversation alone does not put it in your hands.

When you reach the master lever, hold the interaction for the entire action. The PC release tutorial says to hold E continuously on stuck levers, with progress resetting if you release it.

Continue through the damaged exhibit area after opening the gate. The traversal takes you above the electrified floor and across the available supports. Choose the next landing before jumping so you can keep your route off the hazardous ground.

Get the Dilo Dash flashlight and open the meteor route

At Dilo Dash, the flashlight dispenser needs a token. Follow the climbing route in that exhibit to collect the token, return to the dispenser, and exchange it for the dinosaur flashlight. Continue through the Dilo Dash attraction to reach the finale area.

The finale's plaque is missing a button. Follow the find the plaque button and return it objective, exploring the elevated exhibit route to retrieve it. SuperHorrorBro's player experience includes riding the moving dinosaur display supports on the way to the button.

At the blocked exit, contact Stella. She explains that the show opens the meteor hole in the back wall; that opening gives you access backstage. Return the button to the plaque, start the exhibit, then use the available platforming route to the meteor opening.

Continue backstage toward the gift shop, following the ladders, pipes, and ventilation route. The mascot encounter interrupts this passage, so focus on continuing through the available route rather than searching for a way to confront it.

Finish all three stages of the gift shop floodlights

Inside the gift shop, enter the management office and watch Dalton's VHS. Report it to Stella. She tells you to get the fuses from the basement and supplies 1903, which opens that basement door in the release playthrough.

Collect three fuses downstairs, then return to the shop floor. The mascot begins pursuing Jordan during the installation sequence. Create enough separation to complete a box interaction, move to the next box, and finish all three rather than waiting beside a panel as the creature approaches.

The lighting job continues after the fuses are installed:

StageWhat to completeWhat comes next
Shop floorInstall a fuse in each of the three floodlight boxesGo to the arcade
RaftersReach the upper route through the arcade vent and connect all three lightsReturn through the office route
Shop floor againPower the floodlights from their controls while Bronto is presentAttempt the exit

Bronto's appearance does not mean the overhead connection objective is finished. Keep track of the three lights as you cross the rafters, then use the return route to the office. Jordan calls Stella again and explains that the lights are set up but still lack power. That conversation leads into the final floor-level activation.

Complete the controls one at a time, allowing enough room to finish each held interaction. The flashlight you collected at Dilo Dash is separate from the shop's floodlight installation.

Escape the destroyed exit and reach the caves

After the floodlight sequence, follow the objective toward the exit. Bronto destroys that escape route, forcing Jordan to find another way out.

Turn your attention to the available passage into the lower area. The rest of this section is an escape route through the tunnels and across a collapsing crossing. Keep following the onward traversal instead of returning to the shop to redo its completed electrical work.

Reaching the caverns ends Chapter 1. The missing elevator and side-cavern generators belong to the next chapter, so they are the next stage of the story rather than an unfinished gift shop puzzle.

FAQ

What is the opening office code?

SuperHorrorBro's release playthrough successfully uses 6024 after collecting both note halves. Read your own completed note rather than assuming an opening number from another recording applies universally.

What is the Chapter 1 basement code?

Stella gives 1903 for the gift shop basement in the release route described here. That code belongs to the basement door, not the opening office.

Why are the lights still off after I repair the fuseboxes?

You still need to connect the three floodlights from the rafters through the arcade-vent route, then return to the floor and power them. Fuse installation is the first stage of the job.

Does turning on the floodlights end Chapter 1?

No. The exit attempt is interrupted. Complete the subsequent escape into the caverns to finish the chapter.
